Director of Food Services
Joanne Carter joined the CenterPointe team as Director of Food Services in January of 2021. Joanne brings over 20 years of culinary expertise with her. She started her career in the hospitality industry working in restaurants and training under multiple chefs with different cooking backgrounds. She attended several culinary clinics and programs and opened a successful restaurant after learning the business side of the industry. Joanne went on to working for the University of Missouri Healthcare dietary department where she developed a passion for taking care of patients with different dietary and nutritional needs. She believes strongly that food is comfort and is a vital ingredient to healing and staying healthy, both physically and mentally.
Joanne, originally from Georgia, has been a proud Missourian for over 20 years. She served in the United States Coast Guard, where she specialized in Navigation and Search and Rescue. During this time, she earned her Associates of Arts from Charleston Southern University. Joanne is currently enrolled in the online Nutrition Program at the University of North Dakota and is an active member of the American Culinary Federation.
